Consultation
Booking a tattoo appointment with Vogel Tinte begins with a consultation. To start, complete the consultation form with as much detail as possible about your idea. This helps me prepare before we meet and ensures I understand your vision.
During your consultation, you and I will sit down to discuss:
- Design concept – subject matter, style, and overall look.
- Placement – where on the body the tattoo will go, taking into account size, shape, and flow with your body.
- Details – color palette, shading, level of detail, and any reference images you may have.
- Personalization – adjustments to make the tattoo truly one-of-a-kind.
At this stage, I will also provide an estimated price quote based on the design and complexity. If the design requires additional time for custom artwork, we’ll discuss the process and timeline for finalizing your tattoo design.
Variables
Every tattoo is different, and the time required for completion will depend on several factors:
- Size – larger tattoos take longer and often need multiple sessions.
- Complexity – highly detailed or custom designs require more time than simple linework or minimalistic pieces.
- Placement on the body – certain areas can take longer due to skin texture, sensitivity, or accessibility.
- Color vs. black & gray – color tattoos generally require additional time for layering and blending.
- Smaller tattoos – often completed in one session.
- Medium to large tattoos – may be split into multiple appointments to allow proper healing between sessions and to maintain the best possible quality of work.
During your consultation, I’ll create a realistic timeline and recommend the most effective appointment structure for your tattoo.
Deposit Policy
To secure your appointment, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit serves several purposes:
- Reserves your spot on the schedule.
- Covers preparation time for custom artwork and drawing.
- Applies toward the final cost of your tattoo.
Please note:
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- If you need to reschedule, you must give notice at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.
- If you miss an appointment, we can “reuse” the same deposit when rescheduling to a future date.
- Missing the rescheduled appointment without any communication will result in forfeiture of the deposit, and a new deposit will be required to book again.
